Well, how's your assistant standing there? He's visiting. He's visiting the area. The business about resurrection is starting land. And a little weird, right? Like, if you think about it, it's not a concept that we run into every day. It doesn't make a lot of logical sense.

And the idea here it is. Here is this story that has animated people for generations. For thousands of years, this story has persevered. Almost every nation, every government structure, in agriculture, this story persists. And everywhere that this story goes, how those people together,

galvanizes people and becomes something that they pass on. The reason that the story has endured is because of both persecution and in plenty, the people who have got passed on the story of this very thing, this resurrection. So let's make sure we understand this components a little bit. The first is, Jesus actually died and talked about it in the product. Dead. Dead and buried. We mentioned that it's so weird way to accomplish the salvation of the world.

Surely, you can think of a different way to do it. I don't always understand the mechanism, like the mechanics, how those crisis deaths stand in your mind. But somehow it does, so Christ goes through the child country, the Lord's sower, out to the garden, because let me train by his friends. And then the garden doesn't mean he's up all the ceiling walls down. It's there, back up in the midst of the night. It's run out by the church. They run a false thing. They bring it late at night, and it takes a little of guns.

Then they take it to a quiet quiet, and says, whatever you guys want to do, I just got to pick the piece, and he steps back out and write. And so then the Romans accomplish what they do very well, the crucifixion in Jesus. We talked about this on Friday, but the Romans are very good in crucifixion. One of the great strategies of the cross is not how special it is, but how well it was, how pedestrian it is. The Romans got really efficient at crucifixion.

Thousands of people who survived in the mid-60s before we got any bones of anybody that could survive, because no one cares about those who were able to survive. No one takes the time to bury them. The pedestrian way on the wrong side of the desert from all the accordion power, Jesus is hooked to death. And then when no one is paying attention, two little women early in the morning go to me. And there, I love that man who says that the angel, not only rolled away the stone,

but this sitting on the stone. Like just cropped up on the counter, waiting for them to get there. And says, oh, this is sitting out. Oh, aren't looking for Jesus. He's not here. Right? You go tell his buddies, he's not here anymore. All of this is happening. Well, all the machinery of the world is going on. All the tribes need to roam.

This is happening on the other side of the city. All the rooms, oh, these trumped misses happening on none of them. Out in the wrong side of the desert, outside of the stone, a backwards room of people. Two women encounter an angel and a reality that changes everything. And Jesus' resurrection is not in their mind or in their heart. This resurrection is flesh and body, soul and spirit.

Jesus immediately, out of the resurrection, I don't know what it's like to go through all the processes of my God, my God, by the Lord's sake. He goes through the forsaking and the apostric tells us into the condemnation. And then comes back out into the various kinds of notions that it would take you three days to travel to the underworld and back. And Jesus is dead for three days and on the third comes back, but fully down. All the way there. Flashing bone, body and spirit.

And immediately starts on the work of gathering the resurrection together. Jesus' resurrection is not for himself, but for his people. He celebrates the resurrection, of course. But Jesus' work always from the time he came until the time he ascended was to gather the room for people who had let him be king and restore the life they were made for. So after his resurrection, he gets gathered and scratched right away. First two women who go to the community, even though the angel told once again he was let him be king. And he goes through the same 18 women.

And then he jumps and gets the two. There were two who were already leading three days after the crucifixion, after the Passover. They get a yes, the work of Jesus just didn't amount to anything. You better know that we are where we live. The next, they're on their way back to the next. Jesus goes to get them. He says, turn around. The rules get back. Jesus' gathering is a good thing to gather. Here's the upper room. And what does he do? He eats with that obedient.

And to show them, this is not a hope or a wish or a dream. This is pragmatic and physical. The gospel is disrupted and a real flesh and bone God-inspirant. Fish in the upper room. And then never later he makes breakfast. And then we'll go on a big beach. There's some fish form. He's with him on more than one occasion. He goes through two cells and you drink over 500 and stay for 40 days.

And this is the kicker for me here to start the Easter story is where the heck is he? He's so good. Look at that. Hi. You don't mind just sitting in the gospel but we all started listening to me. Maybe I'll leave because that's where he's going to take off for me. Maybe he is the circle of the mountain.

The location of the circle of the mountain is maybe the spot where you've fed 5,000. Maybe it's next to the sea that he walked on with water and talked by the people. Maybe it's near where the guys used to fish. He's like, get me out and go get one pill. And he's like, alright. I've got all 40 in heaven. I'm right for that guy. No, this is amazing. He's the hugest big dad. We're all here together. He's like, I've got all 40 in heaven.

So then we're on to the new year. He goes up. Remember that some of them, I like his job is all my job. And I'm going to go ahead and get my job done. For one, they're walking up the hill guy and he realizes they're walking up and they're walking up the hill. They're walking up the hill. They're walking up the hill. They're walking up the hill. They're walking up the hill. They're walking up the hill. They're walking up the hill. They're walking up the hill. They're walking up the hill. They're walking up the hill. They're walking up the hill. They're walking up the hill. They're walking up the hill. They're walking up the hill.

They're walking up the hill. They're walking up the hill. They're walking up the hill.

And first thing is, is we're going to divide the hall. We think he wrote the letter to Cory around 55, 18, maybe 54. He said, Ephesus, now do it back. Jesus, for around 0, 8, 3, 18, maybe more.

Then it's maybe 33. So let's start at 36, 37, 18, 33, 37, 18. 20 years after this data was actually an ascension, Paul was heavy, not heavy, Ephesus. And writing those letters to the church in court. And then give us 1st Corinthians chapter 15 verse 1. He says, now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I would preach to you.

Would you receive in which you stand and find which you have been saved? God bless Paul, man. God on sentence, did you see that? We don't know how to break it all. And God wants to read it one more time for you to hear it. I preach to you. Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I would preach to you. Which you received, in which you stand, by which you are being saved. What's the actor, nasta? If you hold fast to the word I preach to you, unless you believe in pain, or I took over

to you as the 1st Corinthians, what I also received. The Christ-style verse says in the courts of the Scriptures. And he was buried, he was raised on the third day in courts of the Scriptures. He gave you a receive this and then to the 12. And you're to more than five hundred brothers over the time. Most of them are still alive, but somehow they're falling asleep. Let me, a couple of things first of all. And you give five hundred, most of them are still alive.

The first room in the church kept for a while in Jerusalem, right? Until the Israel church, the Jewish church, first few new followers of the way, then they spread out, because they couldn't stay there anymore because they were going to be healed. And then they're spread out. When they spread out, they needed homes. They were well- freaked out homes. They were catacombs and safe places. They were eating homes. Can you imagine, in a clear, custom-own issue of people, maybe about a hundred, get together and in the midst,

though they kind of scurried in the places that are unrecognized or undone. The other people gathered together in their midst might be someone of the five hundred, who had not been with the resurrection of Jesus. Twenty years after his resurrection and ascension, Paul was saying, most of the five hundred were still alive and asked him, those seven calls say, the other thing I want to see of this is, as he says, I'm giving you that which I received.

And did you hear the way he said it? For I'm delivered to the first support of the staff that I also received that Christ died for percents in importance of the scriptures. That he's buried and he's raised on the third day in the first of the scriptures. And you're here to see this and then to the twelfth. And then you're here to see this.
